Echoes in Ink

Somewhere between a memory and a wash of ink lives Echoes in Ink.

This collection embraces the beautiful unpredictability of ink. Water finds its own path, edges dissolve, tones bleed into one another, and familiar chairs and everyday objects quietly emerge from the fluidity, each carrying a distinct presence.

I’m drawn to the freedom this medium demands. Ink asks me to let go of control, to welcome chance and to trust that something unexpected will reveal itself. The paintings become less about recording an object and more about capturing a feeling, a fleeting memory or the quiet energy that lingers long after a room has emptied.

The soft, faded edges remind me of old photographs and half remembered places, where details blur but emotion remains. Every drip, bloom and imperfect mark becomes part of the story.

Perhaps they are simply chairs and ordinary objects.

Or perhaps they are echoes of the lives, conversations and memories they have quietly witnessed.
